Who we are
St Andrews Ladies Putting Club is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website. You can contact us at himalayas@standrewsputtingclub.com.
What personal data we collect
When you make a booking through our website, we collect:
- Your name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Postcode
- Number of players in your group (adults, seniors, children, members, members' guests)
- Your chosen date & time
Why we collect your data
We process your personal data on the following lawful bases:
- Contract performance – We need your name, email, phone number, and postcode to process your booking, take payment, send your confirmation, and contact you if there are any changes to your booking.
- Legitimate interests – We may record details of any safety incidents and, where necessary, restrict future bookings. This is to protect the safety of our staff and visitors.
Payment processing
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. When you pay for a booking, your payment card details are collected directly by Stripe and are never stored on our website. We receive only a transaction reference from Stripe to confirm your payment.
Who we share your data with
We share your personal data with the following third-party services, solely to operate the booking system:
- Stripe – payment processing
- Postmark – sending booking confirmation and cancellation emails
- Sentry – error monitoring (personal data may be included in error reports to help us diagnose technical issues)
We do not sell your data or share it for marketing purposes.
How long we keep your data
- Standard bookings: Your personal details (name, email, phone, postcode) are automatically anonymised 30 days after your booking date.
- No-shows: If you do not arrive for your booking, your details are anonymised after 90 days.
- Incidents and bans: If a safety incident is recorded against your booking, or if you are restricted from future bookings, your details are retained for as long as necessary to protect the safety of staff and visitors.
After anonymisation, we retain only non-identifying booking data (date, time, number of players) for statistical purposes.

- Correct any inaccurate personal data
- Delete your personal data (where there is no overriding reason to keep it)
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
